Mission:
FICA / ICAF (Fundação Internacional de Capoeira Angola / International Capoeira Angola Foundation) is an organization with the sole purpose of preserving and maintaining what is known as Capoeira Angola through the specific lineages of the following Grand Masters: Mestre Pastinha, Mestre João Grande, Mestre Moraes, and Mestre Jurandir.The Oakland chapter for the organization is a singular non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization under the leadership of Mestra Andrea, along with Contra Mestra Maya and Treinels Sher and Jaga.

Vision:
FICA Oakland envisions a Bay Area where the ancestral cultural art form of Capoeira Angola is shared, respected and preserved while simultaneously nurturing a community of Alameda County residents that thrives through historically and culturally relevant artistic practices.
